The ancient theater of Epidaurus was built by architect Polykleitos the Younger in 340 b.c. in northern Peloponnese. Famous for its superb acoustics (you can hear a coin being dropped in the center of the stage while being seated on the top rows!), the theater is kept in great condition and still hosts theatrical and artistic performances. Read more about the importance and role of the theater here and find out more about the festivals that are being held today here.
