Recently, I had the chance to visit the summer house of a dearest friend of mine and take a few shots of its incredible outdoors. The house is located on a hill near Heraklion, within a short distance from the sea, and with a jaw dropping view to the northern cretan archipelago that extends far to the city of Heraklion (see last picture for that).
The architecture of the building is typical mediterranean, with bare stone walls, wooden pergolas, arched porches and clay bricks. My bad, I didn't take pictures from the whole house but I took plenty from the garden and the view (yes!). The garden is created and taken good care of by its owners and is crammed with bold colored bougainvilleas, geraniums, lavender, aloe vera, lemon and olive trees and so many other plants I don't really know their names, all in hand picked beautiful terra cotta planters. You can only imagine how great it is to spend the summer days in this place, enjoy the cool sea breeze and the soul soothing view day after day!
